100

This is the 100th post on this blog. It's nothing special, but I just wanted to take a minute to take stock of the things I'm working on and further confirm my decision to switch to a once-per-month posting cadence to make the blogposts better and more complete.

Progress is slow on many of my projects simply because I'm not throwing a bunch of time at them. As I think I mentioned previously in my State of The Blog post, I'm taking more time to focus on making other content (music, stuff your YouTube, etc.) that just doesn't belong on this blog. So, I'm positive that this change to a monthly cadence over a bi-monthly cadence will make posts on here much, much better.

What kinds of stuff can you expect in the future? Well, here's a list of stuff I'm working on right now:
  • Blade Stuff! I have four HP blades just sitting in my closet. Am I making my own blade enclosure? Am I trying to reverse engineer the PCIe mezzanine connector? Yes.
  • I'm trying to make a drone using the body of the old drone. Basically it's just the frame and the motors. Everything else will be (attempted to be) made by me.
  • Finishing the WiFi alarm clock.
  • Finishing the HDDJ Turntable
  • Episode 5 of "Not a Computer" is cracking the password on an ADSL modem.
  • Other vague ideas which include chip decapping, old PC restoration, more work with deconstructed laptops, etc.
I'm not sure which ones will be first, but with the holidays coming up, I won't have a lot of time next month to do this kind of stuff either. I just hope I don't have to write filler again. I realize that I'm the only one that really reads my own blog here, but I still feel like I have an obligation to keep some kind of posting cadence. So, at the new year, I hope that the once a month thing is sustainable. It's honestly a miracle I was able to keep the two per month thing up while I was in school.
